Meet the Artist
I’ve always been creative. From a young age I was happiest with a paintbrush in my hand, and that only grew over the years. Art was one of my favourite subjects all through school, and my final A-Level piece centred on hand-painted florals — something that still runs through much of my work today.
The Wright Occasion began while I was planning my own wedding. Searching for signage, I kept finding the same designs over and over: mass-produced, generic, without personality. I wanted something that reflected us as a couple — created for our day, rather than copied from the latest trend.
So I painted it myself.
One welcome sign became a passion for making pieces couples can keep long after the confetti has settled. I believe your day should tell your story. No two couples are the same, so why should their details be? Whether it’s a hand-painted mirror, a fabric welcome sign or beautifully illustrated stationery, every piece I make is designed from scratch around your vision, your style and your story.
For me this isn’t really about signage. It’s about the details that make guests stop and smile, that end up in your photographs, and that you’ll display at home as a reminder of one of the happiest days of your life.
It isn’t only weddings, either. The same care goes into pieces for baby showers, engagements, birthdays and hen dos — whatever it is you’re marking.
